France Gionet - artiste peintre

Originally from Caraquet, in North-East New-Brunswick, I like to describe myself as Acadian, heart, blood and soul... Although I have called the province of Québec home for many years, my attachment to my dear Acadie never fails.

 

I was a latecomer into the art world. Since my first painting class at the local community centre, I have come a long way. I was 29 then and had no idea that I was on the edge of a life adventure.

 

It was my hometown that first opened its arms to me as an artist. Since then, I continue on my journey: classes, workshops, symposiums, festivals, exhibitions, charity auctions. As my work evolves, I slowly take the place which belongs to me.
